Novena Prayer

Saint John Paul II and Our Lady of FatimaO, Saint John Paul, from the window of heaven, grant us your blessing! Bless the church that you loved and served and guided, courageously leading it along the paths of the world in order to bring Jesus to everyone and everyone to Jesus. Bless the young, who were your great passion. Help them dream again, help them look up high again to find the light that illuminates the paths of life here on earth.

May you bless families, bless each family! You warned of Satan’s assault against this precious and indispensable divine spark that God lit on earth. Saint John Paul, with your prayer, may you protect the family and every life that blossoms from the family.

Pray for the whole world, which is still marked by tensions, wars and injustice. You tackled war by invoking dialogue and planting the seeds of love: pray for us so that we may be tireless sowers of peace.

O, Saint John Paul, from heaven’s window, where we see you next to Mary, send God’s blessing down upon us all. Amen.

Nine days of prayer to Saint John Paul II begin October 14

13 October 2019

Saint John Paul II and Our Lady of Fatima

From October 21-25, 2019, the Christopher Inn International (CII) will host its next program of priestly renewal.

Therefore, the CII team will begin a 9-day novena of prayer on Monday, October 14th, asking for Saint John Paul II’s intercession on behalf of this developing apostolate at the service of bishops and priests. The novena will conclude on October 22nd, the feast day of Saint John Paul II.

It was from Saint Louis de Montfort that Saint John Paul II adopted the phrase “Totus Tuus” (“totally yours”) in reference to Mary. In fact, according to John Paul II’s personal secretary, these two words were likely the last ones that the Pope wrote… during Easter week of 2005.

For the next nine days, we will post excerpts from a book on Marian devotion called “33 Days to Morning Glory,” along with a prayer to Saint John Paul II.

We invite you to join in this time of prayer and deepening devotion to the Mother of God as we call out to her with confidence and love: “Totus Tuus.”

Blessed Mother, we desire to be totally yours, totally disposed to your will, and thus to the will of God, in regard to The Christopher Inn International and every aspect of our lives. Inspire in us a generosity borne of love for the will of God.

Please consider joining the team of The Christopher Inn International in a novena of prayer for this developing apostolate.

The patroness of CI International is the Blessed Virgin Mary under the title of Mary, Queen of Apostles. This title recognizes Mary for her motherly patronage and prayers for the apostles, and, by extension, for all who have followed the apostles in priestly service.

The feast of Mary, Queen of Apostles is celebrated each year on the first Saturday after the feast of the Ascension.

This year, the feast day is Saturday, June 1. We will begin our novena on this feast and end it on the feast of Pentecost: Sunday, June 9.

If you’d like to join us, you may click here to download a PDF containing all of the associated prayers.

More on the history of this title of Mary may be found here.

renewing the consecration to Mary, Queen of Apostles

Comments Off on renewing the consecration to Mary, Queen of Apostles

Happy feast of Saint Patrick! On this day, ten years ago, the team of Christopher Inn International gathered for Mass and to consecrate the apostolate to Mary, Queen of Apostles.

Just the day prior, Pope Benedict XVI had announced that the Church would celebrate a Year for Priests.

Today, members of the team of CI International will pray the consecration prayer anew and ask Our Lady that the graces of the Year for Priests continue to bear fruit in the lives of every priest worldwide. Please join in praying with us if you feel so inspired:

Prayer to Mary Queen of Apostles

Immaculate Mother of God,
Queen of the Apostles,
we know that God’s commandment of love
and our vocation to follow Jesus Christ
impels us to cooperate in the mission of the Church.

Realizing our own weakness,
we entrust the renewal of our personal lives
and Christopher Inn International to your intercession.\

We are confident that through God’s mercy
and the infinite merits of Jesus Christ,
you, who are our Mother,
will obtain the strength of the Holy Spirit
as you obtained it for the community of the apostles gathered in the upper room.

Therefore, relying on your maternal intercession,
we resolve from this moment
to devote our talents, learning, material resources,
our health, sickness and trials,
and every gift of nature and grace,
for the greater glory of God and the salvation of all.

We wish to carry on those activities
which especially promote the renewal of priestly life,
and, through this renewal,
the revival of faith and love among all the people of God
and so bring all men and women
into the faith of Jesus Christ.

And if a time should come
when we have nothing more to offer serviceable to this end,
we will never cease to pray
that there will be one fold and one shepherd Jesus Christ.

In this way,
we hope to enjoy the results of the apostolate of Jesus Christ
for all eternity.
Amen.

Saint PatrickOn Friday, March 8th, the team of The Christopher Inn International will begin a novena in honor of Saint Patrick, Apostle of Ireland, which is celebrated each year on March 17th.

March 17, 2019 will also mark the 10th anniversary of consecrating The Christopher Inn International to Mary, Queen of Apostles.

Please consider joining us in prayer for God’s blessing on this developing apostolate at the service of Catholic bishops and priests!

If you’d like to join us, simply pray the following each day, beginning on March 8th and concluding on March 16th:

Novena to Saint Patrick, Apostle of Ireland

Blessed saint Patrick,
glorious Apostle of Ireland,
who didst become a friend and father to me
for ages before my birth,
hear my prayer and accept, for God,
the sentiments of gratitude and veneration
with which my heart is filled.

Through thee I have inherited that faith
which is dearer than life.

I now make thee the representative of my thanks,
and the mediator of my homage to Almighty God.

Most holy Father and patron of my homeland,
despise not my weakness;
remember that the cries of little children
were the sounds that rose,
like a mysterious voice from heaven,
and invited thee to come amongst us.

Listen, then, to my humble supplication;
may my prayer ascend to the throne of God,
with the praises and blessings
which shall ever sanctify thy name and thy memory.
May my hope be animated
by the patronage and intercession of our forefathers,
who now enjoy eternal bliss and owe their salvation,
under God, to thy courage and charity.

Obtain for me grace to love God
with my whole heart,
to serve him with my whole strength,
and to persevere in good purposes to the end,
o faithful shepherd of the Irish flock,
who wouldst have laid down a thousand lives to save one soul,
take my soul,
and the souls of my countrymen,
under thy special care.

Be a father to the Church of Ireland
and her faithful people.

Grant that all hearts may share the blessed fruits of that Gospel
thou didst plant and water.

Grant that, as our ancestors of old had learned,
under thy guidance,
to unite science with virtue,
we too, may learn, under thy patronage,
to consecrate all Christian duty to the glory of God.

I commend to thee my native land,
which was so dear to thee while on earth.
Protect it still, and, above all,
direct its chief pastors,
particularly those who teach us.

Give them grace to walk in thy footsteps,
to nurture the flock with the word of life
and the bread of salvation,
and to lead the heirs of the Saints thou hast formed
to the possession of that glory which they,
with Thee, enjoy in the kingdom of the Blessed:
through Christ Jesus, our Lord.

Amen.

V. Pray for us, O glorious saint Patrick.
R. And obtain for our sanctity and that of all the clergy.
